Sophomore Prayer Day

Sophomore Prayer Day

Sophomore Prayer Day 2021

We held our first Prayer Day of the school year on September 22, 2021. Our Sophomore class experienced a day of reflection, introspection, and meditation. Students were guided through activities and discussions to help them recognize their gifts and how to share them with our community; holding true to this school year's focus on the core value of Caritas.

One particular activity that the Sophomores took part in involved the painting of rocks. Students were tasked with recalling any positive descriptors their loved ones had given them. They then took those descriptors and used them to develop their own positive affirmations. These affirmations were painted onto rocks in the form of words and pictures as a form of a physical reminder. These rocks will later be put into a concrete paver that will be part of our garden. The paver will be unveiled to the current Sophomores during their Junior year, in congruence with Kairos, in the hopes of the students being able to look back upon their rocks and to remark on their personal growth in alliance with their positive affirmations.
