Love One Another Ministries’ Student Unity Lab at Rosati Kain Academy is a faith-focused program geared toward healing, restoration, and racial reconciliation.
The multi-tiered program, which goes more in depth which each grade level, brings students together over eight sessions to have meaningful dialogue, participate in challenging exercises and do the sometimes difficult but necessary work to love one another, as Jesus Christ commands. The Unity Lab is a safe space where students check and challenge their assumptions and beliefs about others and listen to the stories of their classmates, who may have different life experiences than their own. Students also learn how to listen with their hearts, so that they can hear from a place of empathy.
The Unity Lab is facilitated by Love One Another Ministries’ founder and Rosati Kain High School alumna, Rev. Lauren Littrell (Williams,’84). According to Rev. Littrell, genuine racial reconciliation can come only after healing and restoration take place. She says, “As we take bold steps of faith and heed the call to be reconciled to the Lord and to one another, God is faithful to guide us in this work. We experience true DEI—Divine Encouragement and Inspiration! It is a joy to witness students going deeper in their faith and seeing the power of the Holy Spirit leading them to be the salt and light they were created to be!”
