Important Adjustments For August 2020
After careful consideration, Rosati-Kain has made adjustments to the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Freshman and Transfer Students Orientation will remain as scheduled on August 5, 2020 from 8:30-11:30.
On Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7 only Freshmen will have class. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors will begin classes the week of August 10th following this pattern:
On, A2, B6, A4, and B8 days Sophomores and Juniors will have class.
Sophomores will have class at R-K West (4400 Maryland). Juniors will have class at R-K Main (4389 Lindell).
On A1, B5, A3, and B7 days Freshmen and Seniors will have class. Freshmen will have class at R-K West and Seniors will have class at R-K Main.

Updated Mask Policy:
At this time, students, faculty and visitors are required to wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth whenever they are inside the school buildings. Families are strongly encouraged to have their daughters wear masks while carpooling to school. Students will be given a complimentary RK mask on the first day of school. Students may wear their own masks of various colors and patterns. Writing of any kind (other than R-K crest), logos, skeleton faces, images of any sort etc are not allowed on the masks. Masks are also for sale in the Kougar Kloset.
Each period, students will be given the opportunity to walk outside for a small break, so that they may be given a respite from wearing their masks.
Distance Learning Procedures
Rosati-Kain parents may choose distance-learning for their daughters. . Rosati-Kain teachers use Google Classroom to post assignments and videos of direct instruction. Families must carefully follow the expectation of their daughter’s respective teachers with the timely submission of assignments. Teachers may reserve the right to Zoom with students, especially for summative assessments. If you would like for your daughter to begin the 2020-2021 school year with distance learning, please email [email protected] by 12 p.m. on Tuesday August 4, 2020. Parents will be allowed to pick up textbooks and iPads from the main office (4389 Lindell) beginning Thursday August 6 at 10 a.m. All of the following forms must be submitted before textbooks and iPads are distributed:

3. Parent Information Form (white)
4. Parental Consent for Student to Carry & Self-Administer Medication (goldenrod)
5. Student & Parent Technology Agreement (orchid)
6. A+ Schools Agreement (blue)
7. Archdiocesan Code of Ethical Conduct for Minors (pink)
Distance-learning and attendance:
Students who are not present in the building will be marked as “DL” Distance Learning in our school record. Parents choosing to have their daughters distance learn for the day must email [email protected] by 07:30 am on the day their daughter will be distance learning. Preferably, parents can send an email to [email protected] stating the specific length of time they are choosing for their daughters to distance learn. Parents are to notify the school at least 24 hours in advance (via RKattendance.org) prior to their daughter returning to 100% in-school instruction.
Distance learning and extracurricular activities:
Students must be present in the building in order to participate in sports or clubs.

Freshman and New Student Orientation 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
8:00 - 8:30 Arrival at R-K West (aka: former Cathedral Grade school) - on the corner of Maryland and Newstead. Look for the purple and gold balloon arch.
8:30 - 11:30 Orientation
11:30 Dismissal

Please dress modestly: No crop tops; tank tops; no short shorts; etc.
A face covering must be worn.
Note: Students who ordered school skirts from Just Me Apparel or ordered a calculator may pick up their items during Orientation.

R-K Cafeteria Information
R-K Cafeteria service will be sack lunch only for the 2020-2021 school year, with a choice of two options for $5. Cafeteria service will be at both R-K Main and R-K West. If you would like to put money on your daughter's account, you can write a check payable to Food Service Consultants or pay a lump sum via PayPal to [email protected]. Lunch service will begin Tuesday, August 18th.
