Stephanie Boyd '06 - Boyd was selected following a comprehensive months-long national search led by the school's board of directors. An alumna of the class of 2006 and former director of advancement and financial affairs for the school, Boyd most recently served as director of development for The Repertory Theater of St. Louis, where she was responsible for raising more than $2.5 million in contributing revenue. She brings to her new position extensive experience with leadership, financial management, advancement, donor relations, marketing, and events.
“The Board sought a leader who embodies the values of the school’s mission—faith, service, leadership, and inclusivity—while offering the experience and strategic insight needed to guide RKA into its next chapter of growth,” said Mary D. Stillman, chairperson for the board of directors. “Stephanie Boyd encapsulates everything we hoped for in a president and more.”
Boyd added, “It is an incredible honor to join Rosati-Kain Academy at such an exciting time in its history. I’m inspired by the strength and resilience of this community and look forward to working alongside students, faculty, alumnae, and families to help RKA thrive well into the future.”
Dr. Masa Massenburg-Johnson '87 - is the first African American Principal at Rosati-Kain Academy, and the only African American Principal of an all-girls high school in St. Louis currently. Dr. Massenburg-Johnson is an experienced school administrator who has served as a teacher, literacy specialist, assistant principal, and principal in both urban and suburban schools including the Kirkwood School District and St. Louis Public Schools.
With over 20 years of experience in education, she comes to us most recently from LaSalle Middle School where she was the assistant principal. Dr. Massenburg-Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from DePaul University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from St. Louis University. Those who know her describe her as professional and compassionate.
The search committee was most impressed with her passion for Courageous Conversations while exuding a deep faith in God. Dr. M-J, as she is affectionately called, says...."Returning to my beloved alma mater is an incredible full circle moment in my life.
