Rosati-Kain High School hosted a College Signing Day for two scholar athletes. Sammie Earley ’17 and Libby Modde ’17 signed letters of intent to continue playing soccer in college.
Sammie will be attending Avila University, where she was recruited to play soccer for the Eagles. “I can’t wait to start this next chapter of my life playing the game that I love,” Sammie shared.
Coach Bill Taylor spoke highly of his defense player. “It is hard to think of Rosati-Kain Soccer without Sammie Earley. She has been an outstanding member of the team and will certainly be missed. Sammie has excelled as a central defender these past four years and I am sure she will succeed at the next level as well.”
Modde signed her letter of intent with St. Louis Community College – Meramec, to continue playing soccer. The Kougars’ goalie has been playing the sport for several years and looks forward to playing in college. “I am very excited to continue my academic and athletic journey as an Archer! I would like to thank my coaches, parents and Kougar teammates for their continued support. Go Archers!”
R-K Athletic Director Mel Wilson praised Modde, “It has been a joy to watch Libby grow on the soccer field and become a leader as the starting goalie.” Coach Taylor agrees, “Libby has proven herself to be a steady force in the net. Her hard work and positive attitude have helped her become a leader for the team.”
